Terms of Service
Last updated 20 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Thrise app. By downloading or using Thrise, you agree to them. Thrise is provided by an independent developer based in Switzerland.
The app
Thrise is an alarm app for iPhone. It is a wake-up aid, not a medical device, and it is not a guaranteed method of waking. Do not rely on Thrise as your sole alarm in situations where failing to wake could cause harm.
Subscriptions & billing
- Thrise Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered at $4.99/month or $29.99/year, each with a 3-day free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s Settings, under your Apple Account › Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
App Store licence
Thrise is licensed, not sold, under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”), and your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms. You acknowledge that this agreement is between you and the developer only — not Apple — that Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce it, and that Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Thrise.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and to use it in compliance with applicable law and the Apple App Store terms. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live; if you are a minor, use Thrise only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
Intellectual property
Thrise, its design and its content are owned by the developer. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app; you may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer it except where the law permits.
Disclaimer
Thrise is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for missed wake-ups, oversleeping, or any resulting loss. Your use of physical challenges (such as push-ups) is at your own risk; consult a professional if you have any condition that exercise could affect. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer’s total liability arising from your use of Thrise is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and the Swiss courts have jurisdiction — without removing any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version. You may stop using Thrise at any time by deleting it; we may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
